The effectiveness of any organization is influenced greatly by human behavior.

Our behavior in any situation involves the interaction of our per­sonal characteristics and the characteristics of the situation. Thus, identifying all the factors is time-consuming and difficult; frequently, it is impossible.

So the first section of my presentation is determination motivation. Motivation is a term that elicits, control, and sustains certain behaviors. Motivation and ability to work interact to determine performance.

The effectiveness of any organization is influenced greatly by human behavior. People are a resource common to all organizations. There is n0 such thing as a peopleless organization. One important principle of psy­chology is that each person is different. Each person has unique percep­tions, personality, and life experiences; different capabilities for learning and stress; and different attitudes, values, beliefs, and aspiration levels. To be effective, managers of organizations must view each employee or member as a unique embodiment of all these behavioral factors.

The relationships among individuals and groups in organizations create expectations for the behavior of individuals. These expectations result in certain roles that must be performed.

Our behavior in any situation involves the interaction of our per­sonal characteristics and the characteristics of the situation.

Stress is a natural part of living. Crossing a road, going to a party, driving a car, these are all stressful activities. We live in a fast-moving age, so we must learn how to relax properly. Here are some of the most common symptoms of stress: sleeping badly, poor appetite or overea­ting, drinking too much alcohol, difficulty in concentrating.

Work relations with other people at the place of work include relationships with fellow employees, workers or colleagues. A major part of work or job satisfaction comes from 'getting on' with others at work. Work relations will also include those between the 'boss' and yourself.

There will always be matters about which employees will want to talk to the management. In small businesses the 'boss' will probably work alongside his workers. Anything which needs to be sorted out will be done face-to-face as soon as a problem arises. There may be no formal meetings or procedures.
